As Vice President of O&M, Kyle oversees the operation of the O&M business. Prior to joining Cypress Creek, Kyle was an Operations Shift Manager at Duke Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Plant, where he was responsible for operations of a 2GWac dual unit nuclear power generation facility. Kyle is a licensed Professional Engineer and earned a BS in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University.

Mr. Hanawalt has worked in the independent power industry since its birth in the early 1980's. Over the past thirty years, has developed a deep set of operational & management skills including start-up engineering, performance engineering, operations management, and asset optimization.
Steve started his career as an engineer with International Power Technology. Recognizing personal computing technology allowed engineers for the first time to automatically acquire and process realtime plant data, he founded Power Factors Incorporated in 1986 to provide plant performance analytic services to the power industry. Steve successfully ran Power Factors as CEO for 12 years before being recruited by Calpine in 1999 to develop its Plant Optimization business unit. Steve developed and led the group for 7 years where his team was responsible for optimizing the thermal and economic performance of Calpine’s 25,000 MW portfolio of combined cycle power plants.
In 2007, Steve left Calpine to join SunPower Corporation as Global Vice President of O&M where he had responsibility for commissioning and managing the largest fleet of solar photovoltaic power plants in the world at the time. Recognizing the solar industry needed an independent monitoring and asset management software platform, Steve left SunPower in January of 2012 to form Power Factors LLC with two additional partners.
Steve is an Executive Vice President at Power Factors where he works with customers to ensure their successful use of the Power Factors’ SaaS solution which is now monitoring over 20 GW of solar and wind power projects around the world.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1982 with a specialization in energy conversion.

Jason Raymond has accumulated 5 years of experience in Solar Asset Management. In his current position Jason oversees the Asset Management of solar plants in the Western USA portfolio, and he works with the O&M teams as well as in-house engineers to optimize each plant in order to maximize return on investment. Jason continues to work on Solar Re-power and finding new life in older, underperforming Generators.

Starting in the Solar Industry as a Land Manager, Jason secured multiple land contracts for upcoming projects. In order to provide accurate reporting and returns to Investors, Jason established Asset Management processes and procedures that has resulted in greater investor confidence. While continuing his Asset Management role, Jason took on the additional responsibility of becoming a Project Supervisor with the construction teams and became the CAISO NRI and Telecom specialist. Jason then moved into the Plant Operations Manager roll to oversee all operational projects and help the transition from construction into operations. Jason has quickly become well rounded from all the different positions and aspects he’s overseen, giving him a broad perspective into the potential of solar projects and the solar industry as a whole.

As a founding member of GMAC's project finance group, Ms. Stern sourced and closed senior debt financings for greenfield power development and acquisitions of distressed assets. Prior to that at CIBC, she structured and syndicated leveraged loans in the power sector as well as gaming and telecommunications. Ms. Stern began her career as a consultant with Price Waterhouse, advising the Philippine Government on the privatization of its power, water and wastewater sectors. She holds an AB with honors from Harvard University and a MA from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. Ms. Stern was named one of the “Best 50 Women in Business” by NJ Biz in 2010 and is a frequent speaker at renewable energy and finance conferences. She was a founding Board Member of SunSpec Alliance. She has been an Elected Director on the SEIA Board since January 2014, serving on the Finance Committee, Treasurer on the Executive Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Federal Policy Committee. Laura also serves on the Board of Grid Alternatives for the Tri-State region.

Ernesto Rodriguez works Newark, New Jersey as the Director of Asset Management for the unregulated renewable energy business of PSEG, PSEG Solar Source. (Disclaimer - PSEG also has a regulated renewable energy business which is separate). He has worked at PSEG for 22 years in areas such as Business Planning and Forecasting, Business Development in both Fossil Fuels and Renewables, and Asset Management in Fossil Fuels. Prior to that, he worked at Consolidated Edison in New York on the electric distribution system in the borough of Brooklyn.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College, a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University. He was born in Havana Cuba and is fluent in Spanish. He is married, has 4 daughters and he loves to travel.

Roberto spearheaded the company’s launch of a now fully active 24/7 service center for the Americas, centralized in Phoenix, Arizona.

Prior to joining Sungrow, Roberto was Director of Service Operations at Swiss manufacturer, ABB. He has also held positions at global firms such as Schneider Electric and Fisher and Paykel and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Lima Peru’s Universidad Ricardo Palma.

Clearway Energy was formed in 2018 with the completion of the sale of NRG Energy's renewables platform to Global Infrastructure Partners. Paul has 20 years of asset management, finance and business development experience in renewable energy and power, including 8 years with Clearway/NRG. Prior to NRG, he was a vice president of finance at Ram Power, a geothermal energy startup, where he directed corporate and project finance activities. Prior to that, Paul held various business development and asset management positions at Ormat Technologies, a geothermal power developer and operator. He holds a BA in Political Sciences from Tel Aviv University and a MBA from Ben Gurion University.

Mr. Matt Murphy is the Vice President of Fleet Management for Greenbacker Renewable Energy where he is responsible for day to day operations and maintenance, fleet performance, and technical due diligence. In his current position Matt oversees a portfolio of over 200MW of residential solar, commercial and utility solar, and wind power plants across 18 States. During his time at Greenbacker he has been instrumental in building systems and processes to enable the successful rapid growth of the Greenbacker fleet. Previously Mr. Murphy was Director of Operations & Maintenance for Borrego Solar where he oversaw a fleet of 500 Megawatts of solar power plants across 11 states. Matt managed a national O&M team and was responsible for the highest level of escalation within the department. On a daily basis he ensured that each region was performing optimally. He also served as the department’s data & communications technical expert. Previously, Matt was the East Coast O&M Manager for Borrego Solar, where he oversaw the East Coast fleet as it grew from five to fifty megawatts. Matt’s specialties included data and electrical troubleshooting, lean management implementation, risk mitigation, insurance claim management, data analysis, and CMMS infrastructure build out. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, he worked for five years at the Vermont-based electrical contracting company Peck Electric, where he was instrumental in creating and running Peck’s solar PV division (now in the top 30 solar installers in the country) and was responsible for every job function from sales to system commissioning. While at Peck, Matt oversaw the design, development, construction, and maintenance of over 5 MW of solar PV capacity. Matt also has five years of experience teaching PV construction and troubleshooting to electricians at the Vermont NJATC training center, where he prepared students for the NABCEP certification test. Matt is a licensed electrician in several states and is NABCEP certified.

Don joined Goldman Sachs in 2018 as VP of O&M. Prior to joining the firm, Don served as VP of Operations & Maintenance at Cypress Creek Renewables 2015-2018. At Cypress Creek, Don led the O&M group for a portfolio of approximately 2.5GW and over 250 solar PV assets in North America. His responsibilities included staffing and training a nationwide team of electricians and engineers, construction and commissioning of a NERC Registered NOC, creation of aerial IR program, production forecasting, process standardization and improvement as well as supporting third-party owners, contract negotiations, subcontractors, and budgeting. When Don joined Cypress Creek, O&M was being subcontracted and in 3 years he built a team of over 80 employees and standardized national operations. Prior to Cypress Creek, Don worked at Clean Energy Collective as O&M Manager and prior to that spent several years as a PV Engineer at RGS Energy. Don studied Business at Mount Union College and is a Licensed Electrician and is a NABCEP Certified Installation Professional.

Melissa Stark is a Managing Director at Accenture with 25 years of experience in the energy and utilities industry focusing on R&D/technology, investment and decision support and supply chain.

Melissa is Accenture’s Global Lead for Renewables focusing on wind, solar, storage and renewable gas. She has authored more than 40 papers and articles over the last 10 years. Her next paper, “Lighting the path- the next stage in solar development”, will be released in April 2019.

Melissa has a MBA in Transportation from Northwestern University and a BSc in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley. Melissa served as Assistant Chair of Technology for the US National Petroleum Council study, Advancing Technology for America’s Transportation Future. She is a Fellow of the U.K. Energy Institute.

Kam Mofid is General Manager and Head of Envision’s Global Solar Center of Excellence which is based in Redwood City, California. In this position, Kam is responsible for leading research and development in advanced analytics for improving performance and reducing risk in solar asset management including leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning in certain complex data-intensive applications. Kam is also responsible to support global solar solution deployments and leads consulting projects to help solar owners and operators globally address difficult challenges and requirements.

Envision is one of the world’s leading solar and wind asset management software solutions providers with over 100 GW of software deployments globally. Kam has been a senior executive in solar since 2010, with positions including President of REC Solar and CEO of RGS Energy. Prior to 2010, Kam held a variety of executive positions in large automotive and aerospace firms. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a M.Sc. degree from Georgia Institute of Technology’s school of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
